Look Tom there is wording something wrong and then there is wording something wrong.
You've read the post Tom, now I don't know wether your trying to stick up for Eilidh or wether your trying to keep peace or something. But I honestly find that post horrible. You said that you wanted a girlfriend, we should be encouraging you and helping you. Not telling you that you should never look for a girlfiend, never try and get one for the sake of having one. We all know your probably the smartest and maturest here. So if you can't see what I'm seeing, surely then either I've got the whole thing wrong and Eilidh has fecked it up completely and put a f*ck loads of insults in there. Or your trying to keep peace and defend Eilidh with you 2 being good mates and I'm just being stupid. Or I'm right for once and her post was a complete mistake.

Tom, look. She wasn't saying I should never get a girlfriend. She was saying that I didn't need to be so hung up on getting one because if I did, I would just end up having a crap relationship just for the sake of having one. Tbh, I really don't see what you have spotted.

Eesh! Why are you biting her head off, I really don't see what she's done wrong, liek at all. I don't even see how this could possibly be a misunderstanding, she was giving good advice. It's great to have a gf but having one just for the sake of it might be the stupidest thing I've ever heard, really. She never said he was getting a gf for the sake of it, she was stating a hypothetical and how he should try to avoid it, which was good advice. Most of us here are pretty sarcastic around here, I suppose you'll just have to get used to that, but there really hasn't been anything wrong with her posts, no more than anyone else and the fact that you've managed to crawl through her posts and decided to 'misunderstand' them is totally unreasonable.

One last post? Whiteshadow, I understand you feel strongly about this but I can't see what I've done. What I was aiming to say was that while having a girlfriend wouldn't make Tom one of those lads who goes out with 2 a week, but that he shouldn't just have a girlfriend he isn't attracted to in any way just so he doesn't have to put up with these boys. If I had said something wrong then I would step up and say "OK, never again," but I still don't see it.

A girl in your life at this age serves one purpose, to break your heart. My past relationships show this and no matter how much you know and adore them, they will change their mind more than they change their underwear. Stick close to your friends and make sure you know somebody very well before you enter a relationship with them because you need trust. The 3 words are important and any relationship is based around a good hug! Don't deny it!

What The F*CK are you on about? It was NOT a misunderstanding at ALL. I know what I've read, I read it over and over, and I still recieve the same result. Read my last posts again, read the analysis, and THEN tell me that it's good advice. Don't you dare waltz on in here and try and tell me that I'm being unreasonable and that I'm in a misunderstanding after I took part that post and even SHOWED people what was wrong with it. I don't know her, I don't intend to know her, and I didn't crawl through her posts. I've managed, and crazer, to see that her post was NOT good advice at all. If she wanted to say how bad relationships are, she should have done it in a bad relationship thread, NOT a thread where Tom was wondering about getting a girlfriend. We are here for support and help, NOT to boss a person around and tell them how sh1t something is. Read my previous posts with your eyes open, and then come at me again with your ridicule reply of an arguement. |

But what you ACTUALLY said, was that he should "Never look for a girlfriend, never try and get one for the sake of having one." In what part of Tom's post did he talk about getting a girlfriend for the sake of having one, and in one part of his post did he ever mention getting involved with a bunch of other lads. The other lads are completely irrelivant in the overall, as this thread was about Tom wanting a girlfriend that he can stay with and love for a long time, as he said to me on msn, not about Tom joining a bunch of lads who use sex etc as a reputation boost. So basically your insulting Tom's maturity and understanding of relationships by even bringing up the thought of him doing such a degrading thing to a girl. Try reading your post, and then reading my posts. Look at the lovely little quotations I made, and then see where you went wrong. It doesn't matter to me what you were INTENDING to say, because thats not what you said. What you INTEND to say and what you DO say are 2 completely different things. |
