This sound weird, but Seinfeld had it right.
Seinfeld was "a show about nothing" and made the point of nihilism, the belief that life has no underlying meaning to it, that "meaning of life" that's bandied about by a lot of spirituals.
In my belief there are 12 things that can make " a meaningful life". They are
- Confidence - Hope - Understanding - Integrity - Persistence - Respect - Friendship - Trust - Forgiveness - Faith - Love - Purpose
Once a person has all, even if they're 10, or 85, they can know they've lived a meaningful life.
Most are qualities, and some people have to do a lot of soul searching to find these qualities among themselves. They may shit themselves about doing a speech in front of the class, so maybe they lack in the confidence area, But normally when someone else helps them dig deep, they find it. two shovels are better than one.
Do you think this is true?
Should the list be extended?
