My uncle died nearly a year ago now. He was only 42, and he had a heart attack.
It's only just beginning to hit me, the magnitude. The fact that he's gone FOREVER
When we had family Christmas, I was sitting down, and I almost wanted to hear his voice, telling us to come out for a game of cricket or something.
I didn't feel this when he died, but 9-10 months down the track I feel it. Is this normal?

Of course. People deal with death in different ways, I've certainly done that before. ^_^ Just know that it's completely normal.

It is totally normal that you will feel it more at a time when you would normally see him as his absence is more noticeable. Death is something that, as teenagers, we struggle to comprehend fully.

You struggled to comprehend what had happened, you didn't want it to happen, so you start to grieve and realise more once the denial has gone. For you, it was realising he wasn't there at Christmas, which i reckon is the most common time for someone to start realising the magnitude of what's happened - if you need to talk to anyone, PM someone on here - or even better speak to someone in real life about it; they can give you so much help I'm sorry for your loss.

no one is ever gone forever, they live on forever in your hearts. Honestly, could that have been any cheesier?
