So, are they mad or do they have it right?

I'm vegetarian. I don't think they're mad but I'm not vegetarian for the reason most people are. Tbh I don't think 'eww eating a dead animal' so much as I just don't really like the taste of much meat and don't usually feel the need to eat it. What I think is stupid si when people are vegetarian to make the point but they actually like meat and wihs they could eat it..

They are vegetarian because they don't believe in the slaughter of animals for food and specifically those that are kept in torrid conditions before their death. I am not vegetarian simply because I wouldn't have the willpower to give up meat. I admire vegetarians for having the strength of belief to give up meat because of what they believe.

Yeah but they're not going to stop the animals from being killed by not eating meat and they could always eat free-range chicken and all that.

On a personal level, being a vegetarian is pointless to the welfare of animals. They're dead. Whether you eat them or not doesn't do anything. But it's all about your morals. If you don't like the consumption of (once) living things, then that's fine.

I'm a Vegetarian, and I always have been. It's never really been something I've thought about changing. I know I'm not going to stop the animals from being killed by not eating meat, that isn't the point for me. I'm not saying I don't care about the animals, in fact, it's one of my main reasons, but I'm not going to try and get someone who does eat meat to stop. That's their decision to make, just like me not eating meat is my decision, and I respect that.

I'm a vegetarian, and pretty much I agree with Shatki. I know I'm not going to stop animals from being killed for human consumption by not eating them, and even so they'd die anyway. I just don't personally want to eat an animal. Substitutes are yummy anyway.

I think vegetarians are remarkable. To give up something, because of what they believe in, it's great.

This is going to sound strange, but vegetables are sexier than meat. For example, take the best cut of beef and any fresh apple. Compare them side by side. Repeat with any combo of meat and vegetation. You'll find that the veggies win every round. That's one reason, and probably the strangest out there.

In fact, it's so odd that it makes no sense.

I really don’t like animals getting slaughtered for food. I’m not totally a vegetarian because I love to eat cake and I like to try different flavours of food.
