How were you or are you like in school? Do you fit in? Did you have lots of friends? Were you made fun of?
I'd just like to get to know you all better.

I am the class geek tbh. I have my little group of friends, then the rest of the class pretty much takes the piss.

I'll do well in school and end up with a good job and comfortable life and they'll end up working in a burger place. Or that's what I tell myself, anyway. But I'd rather do my own thing than follow the crowd, so it doesn't bother me really.

It really doesn't bother me that my interests are completely different to what most people are into as I enjoy what I do even if not many others do.

Yea, back when I was in high school, I was rejected and teased a lot. I didn't fit in at all and I was very into Japanese stuff back then.

Well, I don't mind Japanese stuff or anything, but I'm not super into it anymore. I'm sure I'd like your friend anyway though. XD I usually get along with most people.

Most of my class hates me and make fun of me because of what I like. But I don't care what they think of me because thier opinions don't matter to me.

Most of them think I'm a total geek and regularly hurl insults at me for that as well as for my weight. I manage to just shut them out most of the time, however sometimes it gets to me and really hurts.

I'm hurt by that. We're awesome! You are awesome. It hurts me more than them having a go at me. I know the feeling. You know my mum's opinion on you lot. Her having a go at me is meh, I'm used to it and she kinda has a point. But it gets to me when she starts on you lot.

I never would have imagined I could feel this strongly for people I've never met.

My Mom used to hate my internet usage, too, but she got over it. It still offends older people I meet a lot though. They think I am emotionally stunted or something, but that's only because they don't understand it. Adults never understand the next generation and the things they experience because it's different than their generation and they sometimes label things as "bad" only because they never did that as a kid, but just because they never did that as a kid, doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. I'm a bit like that. Most of them think I'm a total geek and regularly hurl insults at me for that as well as for my weight. I manage to just shut them out most of the time, however sometimes it gets to me and really hurts. I know how you feel. I'm used to insults from the same people every day but what hurts is when it's someone who is supposed to be my friend or when the insult is about something like my family. No one should ever have to be used to insults at all. They are mean and horrible. No one should have to get used to that kind of treatment.

People can get scared of change. My mum isn't as bad about me meeting people from CF as she was before, because I've done it a few times now and she sees that I'm happier for it. And I come back alive each time, which is always a bonus, I suppose xD
As for your last point, I agree you shouldn't be used to insults. However, I am. And I do think I had to get used to them. Because now I can laugh at them instead of getting upset. Not that I'm saying my mum calling me worthless doesn't sting sometimes, but I'm used to it so it's not a big deal for me, whereas it would be for someone who wasn't.
Tom - Matter of opinion. And ditto, though I have met most of them.

I don't fit in at all. =P I'm incredibly geeky and hate all the things that most girls in my school adore. I get bullied by people I don't know, but now everyone in my class respects me and likes me. Partly because I've loosened up a bit and am up for a bit of fun, partly because I can help them with English homework. I think it's important to be original, otherwise it'd be boring.
